My name is Capt. Ethan Frye and my mission is to provide you the angler with a safe, fun productive day on the water. I specialize in family and group excursions, all ages and skill levels are welcome. I am a coast guard certified and insured Captain with twenty five years experience fishing here in Charleston. The fishing diversity here in Charleston is excellent. The atlantic ocean is just minutes from downtown Charleston and from their you can be on any number of bays, rivers and estuaries. Year round fishing makes Charleston S.C. an anglers paradise.

Fish aboard a 21 ft. SeaPro bay boat powered by a 150 yamaha four stroke engine. This boat fishes three to four anglers comfortably with plenty of storage space for rods, gear and tackle. The fishing package includes top of the line Shimano inshore rods and reels, all liscenses, tackle and ice. Feel free to bring your own gear as well.

Depending on the season, target species include Redfish, Seatrout, flounder, sheepshead, sharks, king and Spanish mackerel and much more. A year round favorite is the redfish or spottail bass. It is one that I personally love to target and enjoy the seasonal methods of catching these hard fighting fish.

Anglermanagement caters to the entire Charleston area including pickup and dropoffs on Isle of Palms, Shem creek, downtown Charleston, James Island, Folly Beach and Kiawah Island. Inshore Fishing Charleston South Carolina

Some of the best inshore fishing in the southeast is just minutes from downtown Charleston. Excellent all year round fishing in Charleston SC an inshore anglers paradise.

Two of our major factors for fishing successfully year round are tides and water temperatures. Starting with spring I enjoy fishing the spartina and mud flats for one of our favorite species the redfish. Redfish can be seen on these flats (tailing) They feed on crabs and small baitfish almost doing handstands with their tails sticking out of the water. Sight casting artificials or live baiting are two excellent ways to catch these hard fighting fish. Sea trout , flounder and many other species are also abundant around this time of year.

In the summer months (June/Sept.) the water starts to warm into the high seventies low eighties I enjoy setting up out in the harbor searching for large schools of Jack Crevalle, king or Spanish mackerel. These fish put up a tremendous fight and are always exciting to catch. I also enjoy sitting out in the mouths of bays fishing live bait for Tarpon. These fish, nicknamed the Silver King, have become quite an inshore trophy fish here in and around Charleston. It's pure excitement watching your reel screaming off line with a huge tarpon on the end. The redfish are always here in Charleston. They can be found in deeper water or feeding around structure like docks or oyster beds. Flounder, Trout, Sheepshead, Bonnethead sharks and other species can be found here in abundance during the summer months.

The winter months (October/March) bring schooling redfish by the hundreds up into the Spartina and Mud flats. This is truly an awe inspiring event. Juvenile redfish gather in large schools making for some great sight casting in shallow water. I fish with new Shimano reels and Ande light tackle rods. For the bigger fish I use Penn 320 reels and the Penn Powersticks. Feel free to bring your own light tackle. The boat is a 20 ft Aquasport Bay boat powered by a Yamaha 150. The boat is roomy with plenty of storage space and floor space to move.

Ecotours

Ecotours are a perfect day trip for family or friends. We will spend the day cruising the estuaries and bays searching for dolphins and manatees. Dolphins are plentiful and can be seen twisting and turning in the water right next to the boat. Manatees are becoming more plentiful in Charleston South Carolina. I have seen them out in the harbor, up the intracoastal and in the smaller creeks.

The barrier islands are host to numerous different bird species. Pelicans, terns and gulls can be seen nesting on these islands.

Egrets and Herons can be seen wading up in the marshes searching for food. Ospreys can be seen flying or sitting in their huge nests with their young. If you are an avid bird watcher,The coast of Charleston is a must see by boat. Shelling, crabbing and other activities are also available on these tours. I can do private drop offs on these islands or offer shuttle services for larger groups.
